In the NBA Finals, Dallas Mavericks started out with an advantage. They were scheduled for more home games than away games, and all sports series have the same dilema. My question is how do they decide who gets lucky and has more home games? Especially since so far as of Jun 19, the series has been stirctly home court advantage. Would a win by Dallas be as glorious as a win by Miami since they started with a disadvantage.

The early games in the NBA usually have only a hand full of good players on the field and the late games got all the good players. Why is that? Doesn’t every game count? What about the preseason? Do those games count?
